Have been taking this for the last 4 months, mood very low finding life difficult to cope with. Is it the medication ? Love to you all. Bridie.

Letrozole
Hi Bridie,
I was taking letrozol for 6 months. I was not aware of any side effects .
I began to have pain again and had to stop, they told me it was not working for me.
I hope your feeling better soon.
Take care

Hi I’ve been on this a week. Ok so far....? Thinking of u x
Hi I was on letrozole for a few months and my mood got very low, when I asked my CNS she did say it was the medication, although she did offer me a mild antidepressant. Wishing you all the best xxx
My Mum was on Letrozole for 5 years before it stopped working and I can only describe my Mum's moods as like living with someone with constant PMT!! She never really noticed it but my sisters and I did get the brunt of it sometimes xx
Hi, I was on Letrozole for15/18 months and don't think it altered my mood although I did have some arthralgia. Perhaps a low dose antidepressant might benefit you. Hope the problem resolves for you.
Best wishes. Gwen xx
Hi Bridie, how I feel for you. I was on Letrozole for a while and I felt like a very stroppy teenager, or else I felt as though I had permanent PMT, despite really trying to stay upbeat and cheerful. Everywhere ached and, to cap it all, I developed thrush for the first time in my life, in my early seventies. I found it hard not to be depressed. My Onco took me straight off of it when I saw her, saying quality of life was too important. My husband was very relieved to have his normally cheerful wife back!!
Maybe you could discuss it with your Onco or GP and try a mild anti- depressant? I hope you can feel better soon,
Love, Solange 😊
On letrozole for 4 months now for low grade PPC. Have not noticed depression but was already on anti-depressants for many years. Biggest issue is mega hot flashes which I had stopped having so many years ago. Yuck!
