Hello Jackie. I've been taking Letrozole for nearly a year now. Side effects are mainly some tiredness for me, and I think it compounds the vaginal atrophy I noticed after the initial debulking surgery.
I take it at night before going to bed, and so far had no nausea.
Best of luck with it. xx. Maus
Hi Jackie, I also take Letrozole, have been taking it for about 15 months. I take it in the morning, mainly because that's when I take most of my medication, so I'm less likely to forget to take it then. Like Maus I get tiredness. And I get some joint pains sometimes, which one of the oncologists suggested may be due to Letrozole, but I also have had some problems with osteoarthritis, which I think could also be a possible cause. But overall I feel I've had little trouble with it. Di
Hello Jackie, I’ve been taking letrozole since last August. I take it first thing in the morning. I haven’t suffered any joint pain at all. I do have a little tiredness sometimes. I noticed I put on a little weight which I believe can be a side effect but I’ve managed to deal with that and the only other side effect I have is hair thinning. I noticed this about three months in. I still have hair but it is much thinner on the crown. My oncologist said this can also be a side effect of letrozole. Oh, and I also noticed an increase with hot flushes.
Obviously we are all different and the side effects will be different for everyone. Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Gaynor
I tolerate Letrozole very well. The only problem I have are hot flushes
and insomnia although I sleep for a long time overall. I take it at night as I take my other tablets then. I really hope you get on well with it.
Good luck!
Dear Jackie , I’ve been taking Letrozole for over 2 months and have it at 8 pm each evening . Side effects so far are aching joints and stiffness , and a bit of hair thinning on my crown. I take 800 mg of Brufen at night which helps a lot.
I do wish you the very best and hope side effects are at a minimum.
