COC anyone on this regime?

Hi Jessica,

I was/am on this regime. Obviously my cancer came back, so it didn’t stop that from happening, but what I don’t know is if it delayed it coming back.

The doctors at the clinic are excellent, very knowledgeable and ‘user friendly’ (if you get what I mean!). The protocol of drugs is easily tolerated and they can make adaptations to it if necessary.

I’m taking a break from it at the moment, but am considering whether to restart alongside chemo, as it is supposed to make the chemo even more effective.

My GP gave her blessing, but my oncologist wasn’t very supportive. I told her I was taking it, and checked no adverse interactions with the chemo, and that was it. Her main concern was that I finished the chemo and she really couldn’t have cared less or been less interested in what the COC offers.

Mine was pretty sniffy about it too and pointed out that seeing the GP to get the drugs would be a cheaper route to go down.

Interesting. Saving it for later exploration as I'm trying to get on a trial at the Royal Marsden xx
