Possible Ovarian Cancer

Total hysterectomy scheduled for Oct 5 th. My pain had gone away a few days prior to my diagnosis of mass on my right ovary and elevated CA125. As I'm writing this post I'm at the ER because pain has returned with a vengeance. Having severe pain in lower right abdomen and right hip down right thigh and right lower back. Can't get comfortable no matter what I do. Anyone else have this kind of pain ?

Hi Jess

Hope they have managed to sort this out for you? I can only say that for myself my symptoms did not include pain. We are all different though. L xx

Hi, they gave me something for pain at the ER and sent me home with out even checking to see if anything had changed. I'm already under care of the GYN ONC so they won't write a prescription for pain med or do any testing. They told me to call him when he opens.

Hi Jess

Glad they gave you something for pain . I suppose if they managed to make you comfortable it was better to go home and ring your team tomorrow than being admitted . I had discomfort from ascities when diagnosed that got worse over 3 days , made me look pregnant , and it was difficult to eat , sleep or walk until it was drained .

Hope you can get some action from your team tomorrow to ensure you are as comfortable as possible until your surgery.

Love and best wishes Kim x

Hi Jess,

Yes, I had the lower right abdominal pain and severe lower back for about six weeks before I was diagnosed. The surgery will sort it. I think I was using only over the counter pain relief i.e. Paracetamol but your team should be able to give you stronger prescription pain killers. Good luck and I hope you get some relief soon.
