Hello Kaz,
Just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and sincerely hope you are posting good news on this amazing forum very soon. I do appreciate that surgery seems quite daunting but, genuinely these surgeries are performed so frequently, to the professionals it's just another day at the office! It's brilliant that you now have a date to work towards and it's good to know your CA 125 level is normal. Take good care of yourself between now and the surgery date. Drink lots of water (apologies you will have heard that so many times!) keep alcohol to an absolute minimum, give it up completely if you're happy to. Eat as healthy as you can it really does help with the recovery.
Wishing you a positive outcome and rest assured these things are better out than in and there is every chance the masses are benign.
Thinking of you. Best wishes,Clare x
Hi Kaz glad you got a date. Try not to fret easier said than done of course. Eat well between now and your surgery and walk and also relax. All the best and let us know how you are doing
Thanks will do
It's a relief to actually get a date and to know that something positive is being done. Try not to worry, keep well in the interim, if you need any advice on the surgery and post op feel free to ask anything. Love and hugs ❤️Xx Jane
Hope all goes well, sending you a big hug, Kathy xx
Hi Kaz,
I remember being you're position a long time ago. My operation was also in early September and the word 'mass' was used a lot too. It's a horrible sort of limbo time. I remember the weather being lovely and everyone else seemed to have not a care in the world! And I had this huge, huge worry. My 'mass' was large and malignant but I think usually large masses (don't know if yours is big) are usually benign. However all was fine in the end and I'm still here.
Even if all is fine you're body will take a big knock from the operation so don't be surprised at how tired and weak you will be and listen to the medics advice.
Sincerely hope all will be well. A friend gave me a mantra ('Do not be anxious, all will be well') and when I got really anxious in those pre op days it kind of calmed me down. Fingers crossed for you.
Love Catherine X.
Hi Kaz, just sending my best wishes for a good outcome with your operation. It's nice you have a bit of time to prepare yourself for it. Try and think what you can do now, chore-wise, to make things easier for yourself afterwards when you'll need to rest. Keep in touch with us all, love Solange😊
