1st appt christies

At last my 1st appt at christies for tests Wednesday.

I think that will just be regular bloods. Normally if having carboplatin they send to the nuclear medicine department where they inject you with a tiny amount of radioactive material and then do repeat blood sets for a couple of hours afterwards. You are usually there for a morning or afternoon so lots of waiting around. Usually at The Christie they invite you to clinic and ask you come in an hour before for your bloods. Where have they asked to go for your blood tests main outpatients or Oak Road?

Yes that's it... oak rd an hour before for tests.

Sounds like you will be seeing the doctor as well. It's usually the clinical trials clinic on a Wednesday but I guess they wanted to get you seen quickly.

Yep I rang my nurse this morning I guess she pushed them.

Hi. I have PPC and also get treated at the Christie. I was 39 when diagnosed. They saved my life. They are fantastic. I travel from Belfast to Manchester but worth it for the expertise and care.

Hopefully see you in clinic sometime and if I can be of any help please just ask.

I've just moved from the Wed clinic to Thursday. I'm in again on the 10th August then every 3 weeks.

Hopefully when you have a plan you will feel more settled and optimistic xo
