Hi all , just got back from a four day break in York when my oncologist rang me to say I wasn't accepted for the trovax trial . If I had of been it would of been at Jimmy's in Leeds . I asked him about Christie's ,he said it would of been the same answer because the decision had been made at the central office which includes all the hospital's.

Sadly he is right trials often have very strict criteria

Yes and he also said that I should of had it after my first lot of treatment which was in 2015 and they were not even doing the trials then .

Hi Kathy, he said they are being very picky they're only choosing people who after their first treatment have no symptoms but their ca125 is going up trouble is that's the end of 2015 for me and they wasn't doing this trial then, this trials only started January this year.xx

I am sorry to hear this. I have just signed up to a trial and waiting to hear. You take so much time hoping that you have made the right decision then to be deflated. What treatment are you going to have now?

Hi Ann, at the moment I am on hormone tablets but as my ca1125 is going up I don't think it's working.xx

How disappointing 🙁 I'm also wondering what the reason was for you not being accepted? How long did it take you to hear back from the time you were put forward?

I hope you don't mind me asking these questions, but I'm keen on this trial too. CT scan tomorrow, but (at the moment) I'm not due to see my oncologist until 15 August, so I won't even be able to get her to put me forward until then. I'm going to ask her secretary to see if I can have an appt a week or so earlier though.

It took eleven days so not long ,but I am really disappointed as I thought I was in the right place to have it .like I said to Kathy they are being picky . I hope you get on it yosh, fingers crossed for you. Xx

HI Juliette, Sorry you did not get into the trial can you ask about some other trials, I live in Austria and I've found by being on this site you have a lot more trials in the USA then here in Australia. I hope you are on treatment or a trial soon we need that hope. Best wishes Lorraine 💙💙

I can only imagine how disappointed you are. There may be better trials out there for you though, could be worth asking the question. Good luck with this, I hope you get some better news very soon ❤️Xx Jane

Thanks Jane , I hope so too. I don't know if this is right but someone told me that with these trials some people have the proper stuff and others are given placebos. Xx 😕
