End of treatment !

End of treatment !

Hi ladies,

Can't believe I'm here really .. but , had my end of treatment results today and I'm apparently cancer free !!! Such a weird feeling and place to be ? Was diagnosed last August , obviously totally out of the blue like most of us !.. Anyway, subsequently, graded stage 3c high grade serous.. matching ileostomy!!! Didn't think I would even see Christmas to be honest!

Lovely Oncologist today, very optimistic and realistic! Says it may well come back , but may well leave me alone 😁... my own GP actually said that OV is a cancer that is very treatable and , quote, a good one to have ! 😳...

Enjoying this eve with a drink or two 🍷🍾..

Massive thanks to all of you , who have made this awful disease almost bearable ..

I'm still on here every day , and will always be I guess ?

Here's to life, and whatever it brings our way !

Lots of love ❤️

Hi Jackie. Congratulations and well done.

I too am high grade stage 3. Given the all clear after my last chemo end of January. Was diagnosed last July.

May you be cancer free for a very long time. Like you say, it's very treatable.

Good luck and well done. Enjoy that drink. Xxx

Hi Jackie

That's great news and thank you for sharing!

I'm also Stage 3c high grade serous and even though the doctors are positive about what can be done it's so great to know it can be done!

I've had 3 cycles of chemo so far and meet the surgeons tomorrow morning to find out if my surgery is going ahead.

Enjoy your evening....and beyond:)

Nursing bit of a head this morning 🤕🍷!! Feeling elated despite this though.. Everything seems brighter today, the cloud that we all live in has lifted somewhat, if it returns then we will deal with it won't we ladies !

Thank you so much 😊

I've an appointment on March the 24th for a gastrografin enema, plus a sigmoid endoscopy ( sounds like fun!! ) this is to check that the bowel had repaired well before commencing with the reversal.. hoping it's quick , my stoma is always on the go!!! 😳.

I'll keep you updated honey .

Much love ❤️

Hi Jackie , I forgot to mention I was diagnosed with staged 3c high grade serous that metastasised into my peritoneum. Just finished my chemo treatment of carbo/taxol 2weeks ago and went for my ct scan yesterday so I'm praying I will have the same result as you.. Take care..xxx

Hi Luchie,

You'll be fine I can feel it ! Every step of this journey is bloody worrying isn't it ? Firstly getting through the chemo, keeping pretty much germ free ! Watching out for a temperature, scared to death of getting septis!!

Then the all important scans and results, takes up all of our time doesn't it?

I'm actually kind of past worrying now to be honest , I really have accepted that " what will be will be " like we all know can't change it by worrying!!

Much love and like I said, you'll be fine 🎉😘xxx Jackie
