Hi I went to Cyprus last August just finished chemo but still on Avastin. I went with MIA Travel who were really helpful. I phoned them and talked about OC and treatment. Cost was £75 for 9 days which I thought was reasonable. Love Michelle x
Thankyou for that information .
I'm getting frustrated and want to book a holiday but it looks like I'm going to have to wait until I finish chemo on 11th April as all the insurance companies I've spoken to have said because I'm still in treatment and booked but had to cancel I would loose my money ... so frustrating 😩😩😩😩
It is frustrating however it's weeks away now... start the countdown with a wonderful holiday planned when chemo ends.. 😎✈️🏖🍹xx
I know only weeks 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 away . I'm being inpatient this disease has taken 6 months of my life and the end is near and I want a holiday before I go back to work .
I've put my sensible head on and will wait until treatment finishes and indeed I will book the holiday 🎉🎉🎉😎🌮🥙🌝🍸🍸and celebrate xx
I also used MiA...not the cheapest but good and knowledgeable x
Hi, I went to the USA 6 weeks after my chemo treatment finished. I booked flights mid way through my chemo. I figured, even if they delayed by a week or 2 I would still go. I felt so awful on the chemo that I was fixated on getting away at the end of it.
It's a difficult one. From memory the Insurers I spoke to wanted me to be a few weeks out of treatment. Lots of firms couldn't help me but i dealt with a lady called jasmine Moore | J.D Travel Insurance
Tel: 0344 247 4749 | Fax: 0208 464 3657 | Direct: 0208 290 3826
She was very helpful indeed and the cover I took out was not too bad.
Hope this helps,
T. X
I went to New York a few weeks after completing my chemo, I found that most insurance companies wanted me to get treatment free before they would provide cover at a cost that wasn't prohibitive which is not surprising I suppose. When I finished chemo I got cover with ' insurewith' they asked quite a few questions but they were all pertinent questions and actually gave me reassurance they knew what they were talking about so my cover was totally relevant to me. I'm going back to the large apple (😊) in July and my first point of reference for the insurance was insurewith again, it's reduced in price considerably now but wasn't overly expensive first time round all things considered.
Hope you get something nice booked soon, it gives us something to look forward to after the nightmare we've experienced. ❤xx Jane
