End of chemo scan done today results next Wed am so worried about results can't change them now my half way scan was good so hopefully this one same or could it change while still on treatment xx

Think positive, as you said you can't change the results,but it looks good from half time,there's no reason for it to get worse,but better.

Keep yourself busy,do some things for you,anything to take your mind off it,the results will be soon enough.

I had my 4 month check today and it was good,but I was convinced something was wrong because of always being tired,but its down to the amount of colds I keep getting,it's dragging me down,spring is coming and the morning/evenings are getting lighter,so all to look forward to,

No I it will ge good, you need to be positive. If the result was good halfway through, it's going to be even better xx

It is scary when the treatment finishes and you wait for the scan results, while you're having the treatment you feel like you're doing something proactive and then it just stops. It does get a little easier as time goes by and you adjust.

There's nothing to suggest your scan results should be any different is there? So try to be positive and try not to worry. Let us know how it goes, big hugs ❤xx Jane

I agree it looked good at half time so there is no reason why it still doesnt look good, we all get something called scanxiety. However, I am happy to note that you realise whatever is in the scan it cant be changed. This is how I manage at scan times, thinking its done now and I cant change it so like your way of thinking. No what ifs now, just try and enjoy your weekend do something nice to take the focus off your appointment

That dreaded Scanxiety is a real pain isn't it but it is also real feeling. However mentally strong we feel there's always the opportunity for a little "what if...?" to creep in our heads.......Out, get OUT!!!!

You're so right to say that what is can't change and I wish for continued good news for you. Keep us posted.

My end of chemo scan is on the 1st march with results on 13th. It is just starting to play on my mind - I had been feeling quite positive beforehand.

Hey-ho just part of the journey I guess. On the upside I am going to Germany to see friends next week so that will keep my mind preoccupied I hope.

My scan at the beginning of my chemo in August was good. My second scan taken a month after my last chemo in November was exactly the same. That was in December 2016. I'm going forward to my next check up in April returning to my life before my diagnosis.

Hi my fellow Edinburgh lady! I just wanted to say that I completely understand how you're feeling. After a scan, part of us wants to know so much how the treatment is working, but the other part is running scared. Dfficult I know, but look outside the window this morning - it's sunny and it's Friday! Enjoy the weekend and try to put the wait for the next few days out of your mind.

That's a good way to think, "whatever the scan says, it said it on the they day it was taken." That's how I try and push any worries away. I'm thinking that if your half-way scan was good, it is unlikely to be any worse after even more chemo and much more likely to be better!
