Just wanted to share advice I received from my oncologist. I had a scan just over a week ago . I went to my appointment convinced it was not a good scan since the hospital didn't post the results to me . My oncologist walked in and said she was happy with the results . I told her I expected the worse since I had received no results via e.mail. She said wasn't totally in favor of the results being sent to patients . She explained that radiologists don't know me as she does and my report was 35 pages long .She said that they are so afraid of being sued and especially sending report to an oncologist, they report things that wouldn't otherwise be noted . She said I know you and I've been doing this for so long and I have to look at the whole picture plus the blood work etc .
In short ," She was happy with the scan , everything is stable ."
You can imagine my relief walking out of the office . ,so just plodding on with a lighter ♥. My new granddaughter was born a week ago in South America , so can look forward to meeting her in person

Congratulations, fantastic news. I understand what she means, I was sent my blood results last month for the first time, the creatine and urea results were off the scale. I panicked and checked with my GP who reported they had been off the scale for the last 10 years.
Thank you ,Sashay , can breath a bit easier for now. My granddaughter was born in Ecuador. My son plans on bringing her to the US for a visit in July , so something to look forward to .Hope all is well with you,
Congratulations on the good results. I’m surprised since you’re in the US that you didn’t get your report right away. It’s the law. I get mine while I’m in the waiting room usually.
But mine are nowhere near that long! I’m so glad you will get to see your new granddaughter!
Hi Delia. They usually do post them quickly and I have opted out of opening them after panicking for nothing . I realize I am not qualified to interpret them. This time they didn't post them but i did pick up a copy of the disc and report at the hospital . I agree with my oncologist that she knows me better than anyone else . Sometimes a little knowledge is dangerous. !!!
My son has sent me videos of the new addition ., which is nice.
