How long does it usually take to get the results back? I had my scan last mon, and I have an appointment with the doctors on Thursday. Is it usual to wait this long? I'm at my wits end, worrying.

Yes that's a normal amount of time ... try not to worry it's not long now ... you could always ring your cancer nurse to check if results are back 🤗 Big hugs and best wishes

Hey NikNak,

Yes 2 weeks is normal for scan results that usually includes the need to have discussion about the results at a Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting. The waiting is tortuous and the worst part of the whole thing! Try not to worry but I know too well that is easier said than done!!

Good luck!

Yes, that's normal I'm afraid. It's hard to keep calm but that's what we have to try to do. Usually MDT review scans etc and they usually only get together once a week.

You can't change anything but our minds do try to play havoc with us don't they!?

Take care

Clare xx

Good luck today Claire, scary day for you but you'll know what you're dealing with and have a plan of action. Try not to worry too much, easy said I know, but try. Let us know how you get on. Take lots of care, sending big hugs and lots of love ❤xx Jane

Hiya, that's about the normal waiting time for scan results, it's the meeting to discuss the scan that really takes the time. Try not to worry, you're nearly there now and then you'll have all the information you need. Take care ❤xx Jane

Only a couple of days to go now, try and distract yourself with something nice although that is easier said than done. Good luck!
