Hi Ladies, is anybody going to the being together day on Thursday 4 May in Sheffield. Just had a invite from target ovarian cancer. Looks like a good day out.

Being together in Sheffield
Hi. I've booked onto it. I think they're sending more details nearer the time. Not really sure what I'm hoping to get from it. One thing is that I have low grade and I'd like to raise the profile of low grade a bit more with clinicians and researchers.
Hello, I went to last year's in Birmingham and it was an extremely interesting and informative day. Sheffield is that bit further for me (I'm in East Sussex) but I'm going to set up an alert for cheap train tickets. Thoroughly recommend the event from last year's perspective.
Was that the 'Ask the Experts' day in Birmingham? The Being Together days are a slightly different format. I have been to a few of these
Ah, yes, it was Ask The Experts I went to in Birmingham. I saw Target Ovarian and assumed it was the same thing. Oh well, I won't be going to Sheffield then but I expect they'll be another Ask The Experts later in the year somewhere.
Thanks for pointing it out.
Well there was two years between the first and second 'ask the experts'. The 'Being Together' days are good. Women give talks about their diagnosis, there are workshops and it usually rounds off with a Q&A session of local experts. They have them all over the country
I've just had a look at their website, there's another Being Together day on 4th April this time in Wrexham. It does look interesting.
There is an 'ask the experts session' at the end of each 'together day'. There is usually a small panel and people can ask questions at that time or submit them beforehand. There was such a positive response to this part of the event, the idea of a whole day 'ask the experts' arose.... The panel usually includes local consultants, CNS etc so regional issues are understood... Would thoroughly recommend going along to these and also think Ovacome members day is also coming up soon in London which has a similar mixture of support, information, opportunities to find out more etc... Sx
Its still a bit of a trek from East Sussex
I haven't heard about that though I'm in Yorkshire but it is the last planned day for my chemo so I doubt I'll get there unless something changes.
Thanks but I have chemo scheduled for that day. If the date changes I'll contact them x
