Hi I have been to the races today with my husband, 83 year old father and sister in Haydock. It felt so good to be out in the fresh air and having fun and to top it all I had 2 winners๐๐. Feeling shattered now but worth it.. Has anyone else done anything nice?

That is a nice post to brighten up our day. I bet you enjoyed it immensely. Gosh your Dad is great to get up and go and enjoy life at his age which is young really nowadays. It isnt a bad day over here, we did get some clouds earlier but although it is cool, its dry. I went to town and did some retail therapy. I replaced my black manky handbag for everyday use with a nice bright white one reduced in Debenhams. Then I got a pair of comfy sandals half price in Clarkes. Need I add that I have lots of handbags but I have an every day one which can carry my glasses, mobile, purse driving license and sunglasses etc. I think I have plenty sandals too but these were a bargain and comfy
Oh Suzuki , Handbags are my downfall, between handbags and purses I must have nearly a 100. I buy a lot online from Debenhams but only when they are reduced by 50% or more . I think all us women love a bargain whether we need it or not. Kittie
Getting out and about no matter what the weather is like is what our new normal is all about. I have been very ill the last few weeks which resulted with my chemo been stopped after 3 cycles and I have set my self a goal of going wallpaper shopping within the next week or so. I have spent so much time in bed I am sick of looking at what's on the wall at the moment. Kittie
Buy something bright and creative and whenever you look at it you will see something different !๐
Sounds a great day, my husband was working but I've had a lovely day out with my 15yr old son, shoe shopping then lunch, as you can imagine it doesn't happen very often with a teenage boy so thoroughly enjoyed my day to.
What a lovely idea to share the nice things we get up to from time to time. This morning I went on a,lovely ride around the Devon lanes on my gentle giant of a horse,Deacon he's 17.1 hh. I'm sure he knows that 'mum' isn't quite herself and looks after me. I'm probably imagining this as its a nice thought if true. Anyone who knows anything about Welsh cobs knows they have a sense of humour. Deacs is 1/2 wc and usually likes to make our rides more entertaining but he's being a really good boy at the moment! Then at lunch time, as we only live 2 miles from the coast we went for a stroll along the front and had an ice cream. Now watching Wimbledon-Isner v Tsonga. Tomorrow we are off to Oxford for a few days, staying in a nice hotel and having a bit of culture. I'm a great fan of Morse and Lewis. But then next week it's back to reality as I have a blood test and my next check up. I'm on watch and wait at the moment. Still, like everyone else on this site,I do the things I/we enjoy when I'm well and, really appreciate the little things in life. Wishing everyone lots of happy days xx
We are doing jobs around the house, I won a bid on eBay for Laura Ashley wallpaper, never done that before! And we have cleared out the bedroom to decorate, but I have sat out in the garden in the sun and chilled out in between, lovely day, glad you had one too
