Well if you and your daughter are still worried do go and speak to your gp together. Does your daughter have a course of action such as a follow up appointment if not ask for one. Better to be sure/

Hi

Have they given you're daughter a follow up appointment? Does your daughter have any symptoms at all? I would definitely advise that she asks for a follow up appointment to double check. Obviously it is only natural that you are worried and it might be worth you speaking with your GP too to get an understand around how these cysts will be monitored. I wish you well. Kathy xx

Cysts can be quite normal and harmless and the CLA125 result cannot be taken as a stand alone indicator, it can give low readings for some who do have cancer (like me, I had a reading of only 30) and high readings for some who don't have cancer. Cysts also have to show the indicators that they MAY be cancerous, so internal walls that are thicker or thicker at one end for example, solid parts etc

As Kathy has said already, has your daughter other symptoms ? It's good that she has had a scan and I echo the other replies, go back for a follow up and ask what will happen next. She needs to know for certain that these are harmless cysts.

You can ring the OvaCome freephone line too and have a chat with Anna. Number on main page, however it's not open again until Monday.

Take care and let us know how she gets on

It's difficult to say until a lab has looked at the make up of the cysts. My CA125 was 34 at diagnosis and was told after surgery it was a simple cyst but histology said otherwise. If it was my daughter and knowing what I know now I'd push for them to be removed to know for sure. Fingers crossed for a negative result

Hi Sarah, try not to worry. Apparently most women go through life developing ovarian cysts, often with no symptoms, that clear up on their own. Your daughters blood test is only slightly raised and this could just be down to the cysts. I'm pleased she's being investigated and hope that all will be OK. Ann x
