Sore nostril

Today had to phone doctor as I was expericing a sore nasel it was very uncomfortable and and crusty and blead at every I touch it they have given me an antibiotic cream for it I had second line Caelyx two weeks ago don't know if this cause it has any one else experience this

Can't share any experience of Caelyx however I just wanted to say that I'm glad you called your doc as that must gave been upsetting and painful. I hope it clears up quickly and you got instant relief with the cream.

I had this five years ago on my first treatment and the first time it happened was quite distressing . It usually happened when my immune system was at its lowest . I was advised to use plain Vaseline which did the trick and got rid of that crusty feel. By week three it was all gone but returned at each treatment. I was more relaxed as I went along knowing it was temporary . Hope this helps put your mind at rest. Take care

I didn't have caelyx but had similar with my nostrils, Vaseline helps and it was only temporary, I did get spectacular nosebleeds as well but once treatment stopped so did the nostrils.

Hi, I had this with Caylex. Unfortunately it was only towards the end of my treatment I found that nasal rising cleared it up in no time. I already had a bottle from a previous sinus problem and just used warm water. I bought it from boots and it was about £12 ar the time, bottle and little packets of something, American I think

Yes I had this. Although not on same drug as you. An antibiotic cream should help within 24 hours x

Thankyou so much everyone for reassuring that it is the treatment that causes the iratating sore nostrils have to use cream for 10 days then due for next treatment but hopefully it can be more bearable xx
