Great that you are now over that halfway point. Hoping your side effects are minimal. Another milestone reached. Well done 😀👍🏻💐

Take care

Thanks Claire , my oncologist said when I get to thirteen and fourteen I will feel the effects more. It's mainly fatigue, I didn't get to bed till one thirty this morning had two hrs sleep and been up since three thirty, it's the steroids what keep me awake. Should hopefully sleep tonight. Hope you OK. Xx

I did 18. It's seems never ending but once you get to the end you can't believe you've done 18. The only thing with weekly is there aren't many easier days between treatments. Good luck. Over half way is brill x

Thanks gleedy, how did you feel after the 18,and was you on taxol. Also did you have a break from chemo. Xx

I had taxol and some with avastin. I have 4 sessions and a break for surgery and then two more chemo. I started to feel better bith times after 3 weeks. I'm still on avastin and get throat I and voice problems with it. I had severe throat problems throughout chemo and a cough. That brought me down but did not get sickness or muscle/joint pains. You will so proud of yourself when it's done and rightly so xx

Aaaw thanks molly, though I don't feel that brave. I won't be having another scan till end of treatment. My oncologist didn't want to eradiate my treatment, I think that was the word he used, but with my chemo brain might be wrong.lol xx

That's interesting, I hadn't realised the scan would affect the treatment, is that just taxol? I presume it's irradiate as the scan is low level radiation, like an xray.

Yes that's what he said Lesley, yes it's just taxol I am on. X

I was told I wouldnt get a scan until end of my Carbo treatment too. I really not sure why so will ask them to spell it out on 23oct at next chemo. Interesting comment of LesleyGreengran. Take care

hang in there Juilette!!!! I just finished my 18th on Tuesday. I have been on chemo all summer and part of fall. You will get through this. The first half was a lot easier then the first half but it is doable. I was on Taxol/Carbo, 6 cycles as most of us are. Hope your side effects are not too bad.

Thanks carol, did you get tireder the second half, I find it hard work walking, my legs feel tired.

I was more fatigued but it was due to the hemoglobin getting lower after each treatment. I had to skip chemo one week due to this. I did not want a transfusion but finally agreed to it and I felt like a million bucks afterwards. I had so much energy and my color came back. Was starting to look ghostly!! It got me through till the last chemo this week. I did develop neuropathy in my feet and toes that has continued but I am assured it will go away.

Good job Juilette!! You got this. It seems like an eternity on the chemo. I just finished my 18th on Tuesday, been on chemo all summer. How are you coping with the side effects? Mine were not too bad the first 4 cycles. You are over half way!!! Hang in there.

Just looked at your reply carol, xx

great news to hear that you are over the halfway mark and that your markers are going down so you are indeed responding to treatment. I would imagine you are tired but rest every day, you do need to reserve your energy. I wish you well for the rest of treatment and with an extremely satisfying ending.
