hi i have recently had a ultrasound on my ovaries and i have small cysts allover both of my ovaries but a larger one on my right side gp has referred me to hospital what to except? any help

Sorry you have to come on this site but you are indeed welcome. Your gp is referring you to a gynae so that he can check results of ultrasound, do a pelvic exam ie press the tummy around to see what is where. He or she will probably have a chat and maybe arrange for you to be admitted for further tests such as a camera put through a small incision to see what the cysts are . I am just speculating as I am not a medic. Anyhow you will be asleep while any procedure is done and maybe all could well be okay. Try not to stress between now and the appointment. Try and focus on something nice a treat or shopping etc. Its a bit too soon to worry, your gp is just doing his job by referring you on to someone that is a specialist in this field.
