Has anyone else had a hernia after debulking surgery. My op was in Sept 2014. The hernia seems to be growing at a rate of knots and is just on the top of my scar above the navel.

Hi Sue,
Yes I had two. Mine were pretty uncomfortable and needed surgery at a later point. A number of people seem to get them but not everyone needs surgery. Mine did because there was some concern that they might become strangulated.
If you are concerned it would be wise to see your GP.
Best wishes,

I have a parastomal hernia, get yourself a hernia belt (free on prescription) from SUPORTX. Suportx - Specialist Stoma Underwear & Hernia Support Belts & Briefs
Good luck, Irene xxx
I also gave one in the same area which I took just after debulking surgery and at times the pain is horrendous, ringing my gp tomorrow as I am afraid of it becoming strangulated and causing me more problems.
Hi there,
I have seen by my Gp and the surgeon who did my debulking op but I have to wait until after my 3 month scan before I see the surgeon
Like you the pain is awful at times especially during the night when I go to bed and want to turn over.
I was recommended to get an abdominal support in the meantime.
Good luck, let me know how you get on
Sue
