Hi, me and my partner were considering ivf together (4 boys from my now dissolved marriage) and had baseline tests which vaginal ultrasound showed a solid mass in right ovary on Tuesday. Told to attend gp that evening to pick up form for ca 125 and afp bloods which were taken on Wednesday, results back Thursday were normal range, finally got in to see practice nurse today told her the situation now I have a two week gynae referal and I am terrified! this has been an emotional week going from excited re prospects of adding to the family now terrified I'm getting more than I bargained for. I'm not sure what to expect next.
Sorry for rambling

Hi, with you considering adding to your family I presume you are a young woman. Don't go running away with yourself. This might be a simple ovarian cyst. A lot of women go through life developing ovarian cysts than spontaneously resolve time and time again without them ever knowing anything about them and this may be the case for you.
I know its hard for you and your emotions are all over the place at the moment but try to take it one day at a time.
I agree with Ann. Hopefully it isn't anything sinister just the normal cysts etc that are very common on Ovaries. Wishing you all the best with results and success with the IVF xxx Trish
I was vilantly sick, had ultra sound then ct scan advised there was a massive cyst size of a rugby ball which was possibly hiding cancer. Advised that I needed a total hesterectomy. Had the operation. 2 weeks later told no sign of cancer. Now 4 weeks after operation, I feel a bit sore but also feel like a million dollars.
