I am sorry you have been turned down for ESA as this is an ovarian cancer support group many of us are not familiar with cervical cancer or the after effects of it .. Ovarian cancer is very different and you might be better joining a cervical cancer support group.

Here are some links to ESA websites... which might give you some information on why they have come to this decision and maybe how to appeal.

gov.uk/employment-support-a...

disabilityrightsuk.org/empl...

adviceguide.org.uk/england/...

dwp.gov.uk/international/be...

Also some CC support groups

jostrust.org.uk/support/sup...

m.macmillan.org.uk/article/...

cancerresearchuk.org/cancer...

Best wishes xx

You really must appeal the decision as soon as possible, I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and I'm on ESA. At first I was told I was considered fit for work but won my appeal and now I'm in the support group. You can find a lot of help and useful information on the Benefits and Work website, which was recommended to me by other people who'd been through the same problems, and its also worth making an appointment with your local Citizens Advice as they will have a LOT of experience in helping people through the ESA appeals process and they helped me too - Good Luck! x

I agree you can ask them to look at the decision again. Gather as much medical evidence as you can and get help either from Macmillan or CAB. The hospital where you were treated may have a benefits advisor.
