My orange juice states it has 350 mg calcium… the calcium being calcium hydroxide. Is this a good bone building calcium? Thx!

My understanding from my endocrinologist is that, yes, it's a great source! I usually have one full cup in the AM, sometimes two, and steel cut oats made with one cup of oat milk for total 700 mg. Best wishes!

p.s. oat milk has less sugar than the OJ and less calories than milk.

I just read someone else's post saying they take calcium hydroxide. Curious, what type of OJ are you drinking? My OJ doesn't say calcium hydroxide and I might be interested in switching brands. Thanks.

Mine is Tropicana with added calcium. 350 mg calcium hydroxide. I also drink California brand almond milk that has 429 mg per 8 oz

Meant Califa not California brand almond milk!

First, I've heard of calcium hydroxide. I'm using calcium microcrystalline hydroxyapatite. Hope that's a decent one.🤞

Better to avoid all non-organic sources of calcium as its absorption into the body is not good. Please switch to organic sources of calcium. Also, its better to avoid all OJs available commercially as it would have lot of preservatives and sugar.

So organic being plant based and fruit…nothing fortified?
