Can disc slippage and lumbar spondylolysis have any bearing on osteoporosis?

I don't think either would be a cause of osteoporosis, but I was told that a slipped disc might cause error in the spinal t-score from a DEXA scan. I'm not sure if that's correct or not, but it was a spinal specialist who told me that. I looked up lumbar spondylolysis and it appears to be a weakness or stress fracture in one of the vertebrae. My understanding is that when a fracture heals it can make the bone look artificially dense at that point, which of course can also affect the t-score of that vertebra. However, I also notice that lumbar spondylosis is something different (bone spurs), so just want to double check that you've spelled it right, as the two look so similar!

Thank you Metoo. I did spell it right. I have an appointment to see a spine specialist.

I saw the spine Dr, he ordered a mri and scheduled a selected nerve root injection. He thinks I should also start the prolia. I am not doing anything until I see the mri results.
