Can lansoprazole make you feel sick? I am on day 3 after a switch from Omeprazole and I feel really sicky. Is this a side effect? Or my gastritis getting worse?

Hi, any new medication can cause nausea, especially for the first week or so as your system adapts to it. Hopefully it will gradually go off. Try sucking low sugar boiled sweets or sugar free Polo's, I found that helped me. Otherwise your GP may offer you a different PPI, there are around six different ones that work in the same way. Regards.

Hi, I swapped to lansoprazole but never hada sickly feeling, but I found you really have to persevere on them. You think it's doing nothing then suddenly the symptoms ease and gradually get hardly any symptoms. Just be mindful of triggers that may hinder it again
