Had some bloods done reflux returned after a long period being symptom free. My blood amylase test came back high (133) but it looks like raised amylase is associated with pancreatitis and I don't appear to have symptoms of that. Getting a call from my GP to discuss results in a few days but wondered if this is common with acid reflux? Thanks

Hi, I suffer from Gastritis and acid reflux. I had a blood test last year that showed raised Amylase. Like you, I was worried it was to do with the Pancreas, but I don't have any other Pancreatic symptoms. The Amylase could be raised due to some inflammation in the stomach from the acid reflux.or medication. Hope your GP can give you some answers. Regards.

Hi thanks! The GP said they weren't concerned but have put me in for a repeat blood test in a few weeks to check if it's come down. Hopefully it will have! Hope you're doing okay and managing your symptoms.
