endoscopy and a cough

hi, I am having an endoscopy and colonoscopy tomorrow. I had been on omeprezole for 1 ½ weeks when the doctor advised to come off the omprezole as I had my appointment 9 days after. Since stopping it the last 3 days I’ve had this hacking cough. Could this be acid rebound? I’m going to ring the doctor today but with this cough do you think they could refuse to do the procedures as I’m having sedation. Is this cough a risk factor. Seems ironic the reason I’m having the cough is the reason I’m having the endoscopy! Thanks

Hi Yes a cough is a common symptom of acid reflux. The endoscopy and colonoscopy will check its nothing more. All the best.
