I took omeprazole for 6/7 months and don't believe I had any side effects. They were effective initially but not so near the end.

I moved to lansoprazol but I haven't found them to be any better to be honest.

I was taking 30mg of Lansoprazole and I'm now on 20mg of omeprazole.

I've not really had any reflux, mainly burning BUT I have a nasty throat, feels like I'm swallowing glass. ENT say throat is swollen and sore. Both surgeon and gp say acid reflux and nasal drip.

Just don't want diarrhea again as tablets build up in my system, I lost 3/4 of a stone in 3 weeks... it was awful.

That doesn't sound good. Here's hoping the omeprazol make you feel better in time for a xmas binge
