um.. I just want to say that I struggle sometimes with ocd or instrusive thoughts and it has been going on for months I really don't know what to do.. I have told my parents and grandparents I thought it wasn't going to be a big deal or I can just ignore these messed up thoughts but no matter what I try to do they come back and either change the thought or make it a new thought. I wish God could just make my thoughts better because I have weird thoughts about trying to change myself.. like be someone else and I hate it because all I want to be is me.. and then i have thoughts about just weird crap that I just try to get rid of every single day I just wanted to know if there is anything I can do to keep staying strong and resist thoughts and help me get rid of thoughts.. thanks for reading this but yes if you do know anything please just reply

Hi Audey !
I am a Christian and I pray everyday for God to help with my anxiety but I know that doctors and medications are also available to help me , so I work on my physical healing with doctors and therapists and on my emotional / spiritual healing with my Christian mentor and my church community.
If you have questions about who you are and who you would like to be , a therapist is a good place to start !
I am not sure how old you are but you can always talk to your Primary Doctor !
If your family is supportive , the best thing to do is talk openly to them again .
Good luck ! ❤️
A lot of us wish our weird thoughts could just disappear! Most people, including people who don't have OCD, have weird thoughts too. The difference is that they don't hang onto them, so the weird thought just floats into their head and floats out again without really affecting them.
Having OCD makes us hold on to those weird thoughts instead of letting them float off. It's as though we say, 'Hold on, that thought is really weird! Does it mean anything? I must try to find out!' And next thing we know, it is causing us to doubt and ruminate and question ourselves, going round in circles! And the weird thought comes back at us.
To a large extent we can't help just trying to resist having these weird thoughts and trying to block them or push them away. It isn't an easy trick to learn, but CBT tells us that we should just acknowledge them, and then let them be. Then they go away of their own accord. Do ask about having CBT if you're not already, as it can help enormously in learning to deal with weird thoughts. And consider medication, which can also help, if you don't already take it.
Is it to personal to ask for more details about it asking you to change? I get some pretty disturbing and sick thoughts too... I try to ignore but it always finds a way to set me off and get me paranoid
It can be hard but they WILL go away. I thought is just a thought, no meaning it to at all. It is not REALITY. Call someone, get out of your head, shit , call me and get me out of my head. Let's trade thoughts haha
