Brought up by ocd controlling my mum, all for my protection.

My mother has untreated severe ocd, it seems so scarey reading these posts as nobody I know could relate to me.

My mum had ocd since I was one week old, all developed from taking the bin out and washing her hands with me being so young. I have had to follow my mums rituals my whole life, people would see my dad spraying mums shoes as she got home. Due to this I started to get bullied at school but refused to tell my mum as I didn't want to upset her. She has 10 showers every time she leaves her house, will not walk barefoot so uses flipfops. Dad has to open door for her to entre her home and spray every bit of her shoes, she then stripes of, goes straight upstairs to the shower with my dad spraying her every step in the house. She walks downstairs backwards making sure her chord don't touch a step. My children have to be carried upstairs etc as she won't allow them on the floor at all.

She think her own brother is contaminated and so hasn't seen him at all for years. I'm scared she will soon treat me and the kids the same as she secretly has my dad spaying everywhere when we leave her house.

She has been for help several times but she refuses to make that big step..

Would be grateful for someone to relate to my story.
