Getting there, one to go

I just want to Thank everyone who has been in touch about my recent blogs.

All duly noted and taken on board.

I can't believe that in 1 weeks time I will be leaving our hotel to go to Heathrow and board our Virgin flight all the way to Los Angeles, it's been a rough ride getting this far.

This morning in about an hours time I will meet with my GP. He has the last word about whether I go or not. I have some very unusual lumps/swelling on my shin bone, the fluid retention has gone a little haywire and I am desperately trying to keep my partner calm, we have already had to cancel one holiday and lost another so it will be hard if he says it's a no no, but, I do want to go, only wish I had a cat sitter to look after my 2 boys but apart from that if I don't go now I won't go.

Thank you all again, you know who you are, where would I be without you?

Thank you.

As my RA is literally top to toe I find great difficulty in being comfortable. I am unable to stand up without a lot of support and assistance. I am severe pain constantly. So the thought of sitting in a plane for 11 hours is petrifying and the nearer I get to take off the worse I get. I will have to speak to my consultant tomorrow.

I'm so pleased to hear that the GP has given your holiday the go-ahead. I know you're understandably nervous about the long flight but I hope it goes well and that you have an amazing holiday. Hopefully you'll come back on here after your trip to let us know how it went.

Kind regards

Victoria
