Good morning everyone. Well since my last post there has been a lot going on what with the Rememberance weekend. Saturday i was in Coventry at a little parade and on Sunday i was in Nuneaton at our parade. Saturday was wet so after they set off i went and sat in the car and read a paper. I was supposed to go to a last night of the proms night, but felt that since my op i wouldn't be able to sit that long without moving, so i opted to stay home and watch the telly in bed.
Since that op i am losing a lot of weight and yesterday when i was out i brought size 18 leggings which was a big surprise i can tell you. My hands are still stiff throughout the day as well, but the good news is i am no longer taking steroids as the hospital only gave me essential drugs i really needed. So now i am two weeks post op and no steroids and very little paracetamol which is good considering what i was having before the op. My shoulders and elbow is reminding me it is sore, but i am not going to let it get to me.I haven't weighed myself as i don't want to get worried about am i losing enough etc. also it is counter productive. I feel a lot better and the scars are healing nicely and i no longer have the delhi belly since i have been on some mushy solid food and what a joy it is to taste real food and not strained soup. I must still remember that i am chronically ill and as yet can't do what i expect i can do,but i am more mobile thanks to the weight loss.
Hugs for you all and thank you for your support during this time of change for me.xxxxx
Ps... My daughter yesterday before she went on parade for our branch in Nuneaton.xxx

Goodness - you are doing well, you must be overjoyed to be going down in size - I can imagine your joy at getting into your new size leggings. well done you.
Isn't Grace just beautifully turned out. She's so smart and neat looking isn't she, I hope she enjoyed carrying the flag,
That's great to hear how you're doing. I havent worked out yet how I should do things after my knee op, so I'll be interested to hear how you manage things. Dont overdo things but enjoy your new situation. Great stuff!
You will be given exercises and you will have to walk a bit,no marathons for you yet darling. It will be hard, but so worth it darling. You can always message me after the op and talk to me about how your getting on and if it is ok darling.xxx
Such a wonderful post! I'm so thrilled for you that everything is going so well. Isn't it great when the sizes start going down?? And this is just the beginning. Big hugs for your success!
