Hi Everyone hope you are having a pain free morning......... As you know i haven't been felling very unwell since Tuesay, after coming of Meloxicam,

I had not notice this much at all before i stop taking them, I so much appreciate your advice and experience you all have,................ I've been having a digging and burning feeling in the palm of my hands, and my wrists, they are also very warm to touch, when i cough suddenly, or breath out quickly ,i can feel the pains shot though my wrists to .......on the top of my hand is also painful when i touch it....., over the last few days, i have also been getting a dull but sudden painful pain in my calf and a aching and painful heavy pain in my arms and shoulders,.......

This might all have to do with the RA, I just want to know if any of you have suffered with these?

Or you MIGHT think it could be some thing else..............

I think i need putting down, Everything seems to be going wrong at the moment,

Thanks for taking time to read this.....Hugs and xxxxxxx

Hi Shirley and good morning this all sounds like RA symptoms and probably from stopping the meloxicam. Have you tried heat on your hands, I had really bad pain in my hands which was keeping me awake at night for a few weeks despite ibuprofen and paracetamol and even if I did drop off I kept waking up with the pain. i also had similar problems with hand swelling and sore and painful wrist which spread to my elbow after a couple of days and I had to wear a sling.I seem to have responded well to the steroid injection and I'm so sorry you have ot had the same result. My hands and feet now just feel as if I have got deep bruising (like when someone has stood on your foot) and this is tolerable and I am not needing any painkillers. Hope you get something soon to help you and woll be thinking of you

take care

gentle hugs crisxx

Shirley I think it sounds very like the ra i get, the painful hands and wrists. The heat is common as well, I have a strong antiinflammatory called Naproxen 500mg that seems to help with the pain more than anything else. Hope you feel better soon.

Hope you feel better soon x

the dreaded sneeze! absolutely the worst thing for spondy sufferers! I have discovered that its impossible to sneeze if you are laughing, so if you can just find someone to make you laugh.......

Coughing is the other thing. Its the worst part of having a cold. My ribs just end up so sore with costochondritisis.
