Can anyone help?: I was diagnosed with RA just over... - NRAS
Can anyone help?
Hi
Yes your entitled to the flu jab because your on immunosuppressant, just tell the nurse this and she should give you one if not make an appointment for the doctor and he/she should give it.

Yeah I had the same problem years ago when I started MTX, I wasn't given any info either. It was only after going to my GP about sickness he asked if I'd had one. He gave me it there and then and I've had it every year since. xx
Also, ask them about the pneumovax injection. It's only needed once in 10 years and it's recommended for us to have it. It protects against a bug which can cause pneumonia
You should be a priority as you're on MTX - I had mine last week the first of the new batch while I was getting my MTX blood test. Have it done in the arm you use least because mine was really quite sore and swollen afterwards for 3 days. I only started injecting MTX 3 weeks ago after 10 months on the pills and have to do it by myself later today - quite nervous! Tilda x
ul be fine im teriffied of needles but put it into ur stomach it really doesnt hurt just nips for a couple of mins afterwards x
Thanks - I've done it once myself already last week but that was with the practice nurse watching!
