I have also been thinking about the very same thing...please will someone let us know if they're any good?! Ta ;)

I've got the belt and it's toned my middle up nicely:-)

You need to use it 5-6 times a week but it's easy on and easy off and the sessions are short so it's easy to stick to. If you're wanting to slim down then you need to cut back on calories too - but it definitely does the toning bit for you!

I don't want to sound horrible, but why on earth can't we exercise with RA? It's important to keep moving, surely? I exercise on a daily basis: stretching in the morning, and then a decent walk, even though I often find it painful. There's no reason at all why have to resort to artificial means, disabled or not.

I can't excercise at all. I can't walk, let alone run or go to the gym, I can't do weights because I can't lift a tea cup. RA effects everybody in different ways and this is the solution I hav come up with to make myself feel a little more toned without excruitiating pain.. I wasn't saying everyone can't excerise so RA'ers go buy one coz we are all disabled. I was simply saying I can't exercise this is my idea, sorry if you took that as me resorting to artificial methods.

Hi Marnie,

I'm lucky enough to be able to excercise but will also appreciate the extra help of using slendertone (I have one at the bottom of a cupboard somewhere!) especially since having baby, did wonder if it could be used, good question thanks :)

Exercise and diet are both working wonders for me but I'm not remotely in your league with RA. Anything that works has to be good whether natural or artificial. Try it and I really hope it tones you up beautifully - might try one myself too - good luck and take care Marnie. Tilda x

Because of a hernia I can't do any stomach exercises without pain but (got the ok from my gp first} the belt toned without causing my hernia to bulge or pop out - so it works for me - and my waistline had been much affected by the high doses of steroid:-(

Everyone is different, I walk my dogs (off the lead} daily except when I'm flaring. The damage in my joints is too extensive for this to be without pain but I'm aware of needing to maintain muscle strength and tone - sometimes this is all I can do in a day but at least it's something and the 'fresh' or 'bracing' air always does me good and it's good to get out of the house.

We're all affected in very different ways, that vary daily, if it works for you then go for it Marnie:-}
