Afternoon everyone, me again. I am bunged up to high heaven in my head. Went to the drs this morning. Told him how i was feeling and just for once it wasn't my ra that was causing the problem It appears i have blocked sinuses. So i have been given a nasal spray to hopefully clear the blockage. To say i feel awful isn't far from the truth. What with all the pain i keep getting in my fingers i wonder if there will ever come a time when i will be pain free....

I have really paid for saturdays little over doing bit. I haven't had a night when i haven't been downstairs at one time or another.... Hopefully tomorrow will be another day and something nice will happen. I did have a postcard this morning from our son. It came from Grand Cayman and the picture of hell. It is a pic of a man what looks like a larva field and a man holding a flower in his hand. It was lovely to have a postcard from him. You all know what sons are like when they go travelling.

Hope you all have a lovely evening and that your all pain free......

Yes i am going to get the facial sauna out this morning and get my head under it. I am soo fed up with being ill,i must have really evil in a past life and i am paying for it now. I think the sinuses are worse than any cold/flu i could get as it makes your head feel woozy and it has not helped my tinnitus either as that is going crazy as well. Ah well just one more thing i have to put up with. love sylvi.xx

Sinusitis is horrible Sylvi.

When I have had it, it makes me feel dizzy and sick and really weak.

Do you have olbas oil to add to your sauna?

I find it really good for that, and I put drops on a tissue and have a sniff of it every so often.

My mother used to make a saline solution and breathe it up through her nose.

Don't think I could do that though lol.

Nor me, i am sucking calippos to ease the roof of my mouth as it is sore. My only dread is that it doesn't go onto my chest. Knowing the way my luck is going it will. I must be mire optomistic shouldn't i.

I have just spoken to my rheumy nurse and she tells me that my crp are back to 26 from 17. It never ends does it.

I'm debating whether to get my scooter out and go down the allotment to see hubby or not.

Hi Sylvi, what helps me is a sinus rinse from the chemist plus nasal spray at the same time. There is also a sea salt spray again available from the chemist but I didn't find this helped where the rinse did. Unfortunately I had to pay for both although suggested by GP and/or ENT specialist at the hospital so assume they are not able to prescribe them.

Thanks judi, i will ask my chemist and see what he says. I have high blood pressure so i'm restricted by what i can take, but i can't see how that will make much difference to my bllod pressure.

I was just signing out when I noticed your reply. I also have high blood pressure (on ramipril and amlodopine). My BP problems only started with leflunamide. I was advised by my GP to use both the sea salt spray and/or nasal wash while taking meds for BP so I think the salt is at a very low amount but the chemist would know you and your meds.

Off to feed the dog and have a shower. We have our eldest daughter, her husband and my first grandson visiting this morning so must get on. Second grandson still awaited (he was due last Tuesday) - youngest daughter and her OH are absolutely peed off waiting bless them.

Hope you find something which helps.

My second child arrived with a little help from us, tell your daughter to take her husband to bed. It worked for me. xxxx
