Afternoon everyone of you,i am suffering the after affects of going to the wedding. I rested up before going to church. We all walked, well i drove in my scooter to church. We got into church before the rain. The bride came to church astride her horse, led by her father who got soaked. The bride had an umbrella so she was covered. It thundered and lightening like i don't know what.
I had a problem standing and sitting down during the service,it was a real struggle. The service was funny. The priest gave them an alarm clock which he used in his address and it was very funny. When the wedding service was over we went of to the reception before the rain started and got sat down in our seats.
Hubby and i left about 7.30pm as i was exhausted, even grace said i was starting to look tired. I went to bed when we got home and settled down to sleep about 11pm,but as this week i had forgotten to take my pills for my hernia,so i was suffering every time i laid down. In the end i came downstairs at midnight. I got settled in my chair and i had some sleep. This morning i am suffering with exhaustion and i ache a bit as well. This aching and exhaustion gets me down. I had to curtail my time at the reception due to this disease.
The bride looked lovely as all brides do on their wedding and so they should. I will post a photo of the wedding with this blog. Afternoon all.... xxx

Sylvi,
I was going to send sympathetic words to console you in your pain but I can't get the image of the bride trotting down the aisle on her horse. It ruins the sincerity.
Judy
ps I do hope you feel better soon Sylvi, you've had a bit of a rough time recently.xx
Judy, she would have if the horse was smaller. She came from her parents home on it. The horse was a beauty. I enjoyed the party, but if i was better i would have been on the dance floor all night. Sadly that is something i can't do anymore. I think i need something to boost me up so i can keep going longer....
Sheener, I am resting today, don't know why i am so exhausted, this damn diseases take so much out of me. I will have to find someone who can tell me why i am soo tired.
Hope you ladies are pain free today. love sylvi.xx
Yes you can keep going Sylvi, you are and inspiration to us all with all your suffering. When we feel down ourselves we only have to think of you and your problems, if you can do it we can. Hang in there you will feel better soon, I know the tiredness is awful and we have to try and get used to it.
What about putting your favourite song on and let the music take you to a different place before your RA set in. I have started to listen to some 'dolphin' music as I love the sight and sound of dolphins and the music transports me to the time I spent swimming with them in the Caribbean, a very magical experience. I then feel ready for the next onslaught.
Elaine what a lovely sentiments you have sent me,they are really lovely, thank you. At the moment i'm not too bad mind you i am usuallky good in the mornings,it the rest of the day that i feel worse.
I have loads of cds and i used to read a lot,but in this last three years i haven't been able to read,i don't know why as i used to love reading.
I think today we are going to be doing some more sorting out of my wardrobe, that should be interesting i can tell you. There is so much stuff in my wardrobe bob will have a fit when he helps me go through it all. That will be a post worth looking at and laughing at i can tell you.
Sylvi, I rest up for an hour in the afternoon. I'm up early as you know so I don't feel guilty about loosing an hour after lunch. Sometimes I drop off, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I stiffen up a bit but it doesn't take long to get moving again and I do feel it's worth it as I feel less tired in the afternoons. Obviously this wouldn't suit everyone but for me it helps to ward off the fatigue most of the time.
Judi, i had a sleep yesterday afternoon, but this morning i feel like i have been hit by a bus. I had a good day yesterday and i did some sorting out in the spare bedroom, i did the pacing thing as well all day yesterday as well. I slept well last night too,but boy do i ache this morning. I have taken my pills and i just hope the pain meds kick in soon. I spend a good part of everyday resting so i can't get my head round how this disease affects me.
I agree with you about having a sleep during the day,it does help. Hope your ok this morning. Love sylvi.xx
Sylvi, yes thanks I am well this morning (as well 'as can be expected'). My youngest daughter took me to get my hair cut yesterday and then we had some lunch and then we shopped for new curtains for my front room - have to wait a couple of weeks for them as they are a peculiar size. Sitting watching the olympics (about 4 o'clock) I wondered why I kept yawning - realised I hadn't had my nap. Then about 6 o'clock I went up to bed and just rested on the bed while watching tv as my legs were painful and feeling the signs of the extra walking. Mind you, it was worth it - I love going out with my youngest daughter. We do see her about once a week but I never get bored of her company, she's like a breath of fresh air. She's very heavily pregnant with her first baby (8 + months due on 21st August) so I'm hoping that I will be able to help her a bit when she needs it, RA allowing of course.
Sorry you're still in pain, hope the pain meds have kicked in by now. How lovely it would be if we could completely shut our brains down in the right places to kill the pain. I live in hope!
Judi, i am pleased to hear your going to be a grandma,i bet you can't wait can you. I hope everything goes well with the birth and mother and baby are ok.
I have to say i'm usually in bed by about 7pm give or take and then i rest and watch tv until about midnight and then hopefully sleep. I am still in pain and it never seems to go only eases off a bit. The last few days i have been trying to sort my spare bedroom out and this morning i have been sorting some shelves out that i very rarely use and it is full of stuff that will get used in time. So i am sitting down now resting AGAIN, god i hate the word resting. I have a appointment tomorrow with the knee specialist ref my op in may,so hopefully i will get a clean bill of health from him, then all i have to do is sort the dreaded ra out.
You will have to post a pic of your new curtains when they are up. Love sylvi.xx
