Panda eyes....

Well here i am sitting here in pain again. My eyes looks like i done a round with mohamid ali. The reason for the panda eyes is good old ra.I have bathed my eyes in cold water and put my hands in the sinkful of cold water.

We started to have a tidy up in the spare room, mainly my dressing room. Stuff in the top of the wardrobe hasn't seen the light of day for so long i don't know whats in there. Now trouble with hubby when he gets started theres no stopping him. We have only cleared one half of the wardrobe and then we took grace out for her birthday meal. This is something we do on every birthday either her or george or hubby and me. When we got back i was feeling stuffed from the meal and i ache as well as being tired so didn't feel much like doing anything except sleep, but no i thought we would just tidy up for today. Wrong, he is now going through all the cassettes that were up there and there is a lot i can tell you. Rather than leave them for another day he is up there doing them now. Once he gets started theres no stopping him, methinks i should have kept my mouth shut!!! I want to help, but you all know what i'm feeling like absolute rubbish. I can't even get on the bed as he is in there sorting out, bless him!! It will take days to go through all that lot. I wish i had kept my mouth shut!! ha ha that'l teach me i supose.

So here i am with panda eyes, crinkle knuckles and all the aches and pains that go with ra/fibro. Well tomorrows another day. Hope you all have a good afternoon.

i know the feeling sylvi, i don't like it when my husband starts clearing out because 1. i feel apprehensive and jumpy about what he is doing (i am a control freak) and 2. i don't get any peace as he keeps asking questions about the things he is trying to clear up. Very annoying for someone such as me.......

But i suppose on the bright side your wardrobe is now clear and you didn't have to do it. Take it easy today it may be a good day tomorrow.

It is beautiful here today i am now resting as i was tidying up all morning and yesterday and now i am done out - hands and feet. Girls are fighting but the dogs are sleeping so i am 60% happy.

Mads, thats only the top shelf he has done, its my clothes next, now that should be fun. It upsets me that because of this disease i can't do it myself. If the weather had been nice he would have gone down the allotment, but when got started this morning it was raining. It has got out nice now thank goodness. It doesn't help me though. I am sitting here on the laptop and i keep pressing the wrong keys thats how bad its got today, i have to keep checking every so often to make sure it looks right. Friday the 13th is nearly over.

Oh i do have some good news,my car will be here on the 25th this month.

Love sylvi.xx

Excuse me Mads ... in my life time living with the "OH", we are educated (by yourselves) that once we have started something we must finish it .. its not our fault if it goes awry at times...

in reply to PeteC

You are quite right Pete, that is a good lesson that you did learn. There is another part of the lesson though, you should only start the something when you have approval from the OH

Ahahaha

I feel like a nap just thinking about it!!!! Bin it all I say x

Ooh Sylvi I love a good tidy out. It makes me feel all liberated lol. There's something about clutter that really stresses me. He's a good man your OH, can he come sort my cupboard out too when he's finished?

Hope your panda eyes are better Sylvi and that you are feeling better. I do the cold water as well. Sometimes I do hot!!! Do your eyes get dry and stuck together, mine do and it really is horrible. I assume that is part of RA? Have you ever heard of the drug Tocilizumab? It is one that I am going to be infused with. Hope your decluttering goes well.

Lesly i don't get dry eyes as i have had them cauterised. They are always baggy now because of that. I am having a flare and the eyes always get punished as i have ra in my face joints etc. You can always tell when i am having a flare just by looking at my eyes. Also the fibro has come out to play as well which makes things harder. I have heard of it,but i haveb't been given it yet. I am starting back on mtx in a low dose at the moment. As long as my breathing doesn't get any worse that is. I have had a lot of trouble this year with my breathing. The mtx had worked very well until xmas when i got a chest infection and boy did my breathing go awry. It is not too clever even now,but we will see what happens.

Dry eyes are part of ra i am afraid lesley, you can see about getting them cauterised like i did. I have to say my optician has said my eyes are the best he has seen them in a long while. Let me know if you do look into that route and i will tell you all about it.

Thank you for reply Sylvi. Gosh having them cauterised sounds awful. You poor thing, you really are having a bad time. I do hope you feel much better soon. Having a bad chest is awful for you and then all of the other horrible things. I will be going to opticians shortly, I expect he can advise me as well. I will certainly let you know how things go, it is so nice to have somebody to talk to. Thank sylvi, take care. Lesley xx

Lesley it is not as bad as it seems belive you me. The hardest part was when he injeted the eye to numb it. Then it was all over in 5minutes it was that easy. I have no regrets about having it done. sylvi.xx

Hi Sylvi

You poor thing. You really are going through it at the moment aren't you? Do you get edgy when your OH starts doing things to help? I always feel so guilty if someone comes to do something for me which is daft I know because my friends and family are constantly telling me to ask.

My son, though, now says "give me a list and go and sit down" (except not so politely) because I try to help and "advise" and just end up getting in the way. Like you though, I can't relax when it's going on around me. Control freak maybe?

Take care, I hope you feel better soon.

Judy i will try and write this again as i lost the last missive. It is a chance for hubby and i to do things together in the house. Mind you there are probally things he doesn't know about in my wardrobe, like all the extra dresses and shoes i have brought over time that have appeared from nowhere out of the wardrobe. It will be the dresses next so that should be fun.He is not too bad to be honest. It won't be this weekend as he is off down the allotment,so that will keep him busy for a little while.

I hate asking someone to do things for me. I bet i can guess what your son said it is probally the same as what my two will say to me. The trouble is people don't know what this disease takes away from us. We look well on the outside, but the inside is a different kettle of fish.
