I was receiving the mobility component which I had to reapply for before July 2011. I filled in the forms and have now been told that I can no longer receive it. I would like advice on how I can appeal.

Help with DLA appeal
Why did you qualify for it do you use walking sticks or wheelchair etc?
Can you walk a short distance without unbearable pain?
Just asking because these are some of reasons you qualify.
HAs your ra improved?
Hi Sharon
Have you kept a copy of your original application? It sounds as though when you completed the renewal it perhaps looked as though your condition had improved. I believe they have tightened up though in their assessments. I know of several people who have lost benefits recently.
Details of the appeal procedure usually come with the notification but this link might give you a starting point dls.org.uk/advice/factsheet...

havent appealed.. I recently reapplied.. but condition. mobility has got a lot worse.. your gp./ rhuem specialist I believe can do a letter of support?.. on your behalf.. some gps charge for this... !my gp has put up a notice in their waiting room charges for dla. blue badge etc( I have neither!) ca £30
Please see my answer to Rosedale. I'm still a benefits specialist. I've found myself now offering my services free of charge, but they don't want me, as I'd cost too much through health & safety.
Hello Sharon
Sorry to hear that you are having such a problem.
You might find it useful to visit the following website:
They have fact sheets and also they produce a book called 'Disability Rights Handbook', which covers lots of disability benefits and services.
For people on benefits it is £14.00, and I believe is one of the best books on the benefit system.
I hope that you find this useful.
