Yes I am also on 4 a day and doing fine so far. I had to change from methotrexate because my liver couldn't cope. Sulphasalazine seems to suit me better.

Hope it works for you too!

I'm on 5 tabs of sulpha a day now, as well as MTX and hydroxy. It does sometimes get to me, and feel a bit queasy, as well as the sun sensitivity which is very annoying. Polly

Hi

I have been taking supha for over a year - Im on 4 tabs, also take plaquenil, folic acid

I inject mtx and have been on Anti-TNF since Nov 11.

I dont have any problems except for mouth ulcers caused by Mtx - sulph has been fine!!

Hope this helps, I also have a little note book that write things in - helps me to remember to ask questions and also remember what Im told!! I record good and bad stuff, so I can see if ther is any pattern!

Take care

Pen :)

hi thanks for letting me no, i have up mine to 2, ment to up up to 3 today, but got a bad head, and my voice as gone funny i sound like a frog, !! lol

6 x 500mg a day (3 grammes) No side effects - other than yellow wee (and yellow everything else for men - slightly indelicate perhaps - but there might be some active partners worrying about this).

I also take MTX, FA and self-inject Humira every 2 weeks. Not perfect, but better then I was.

Trust this helps - and that no one is offended. (I do realise missmop that your username may indicate your gender)

Fascinating to know....! I can attest to yellow wee bridging gender divide, but never thought about anything else! I learn something every day.... Polly

Hi , I took salazopyrin for 7 years without any problems. Hope this helps! (It stopped working after that time , so went onto something else.)

I am taking 4 a day with methotrexate which I have been on for 4 months and still taking 10 mg steroids, my joints especially wrists and knees very swollen stopped drinking alcohol completely but my condition does not seem to be improving. Not sure whether to up steroids again but concerned of the long term damage this is causing ?
