Just a quickie to say I received my letter from the dwp yesterday (after watching for the postman for days) and I have been put in the Work Related Activity Group, which means I have to attend 6 interviews at the jobcentre to discuss help in getting back to work (look out employers!!).
I'll hopfully be able to get into some re-training maybe, my last job was in Optics, and I know I couldn't go back to that as would be unable to do the retail side, standing around on a shop floor, or the important part of taking measurements, working out best options etc.
Still feeling a bit miserable at the moment, had my appt at hospital on Tuesday, the only definate thing to come from that was I have Osteoarthritis in my feet. And had lots of blood taken and awaiting a Scan.
On the bright side I have lost 6 1/2 lbs !! joined Slimming world last month (although don't manage to stay for class as I find it all a bit overwhelming and get anxious, but I'm proud of myself for getting there in the first place) and would highly recommend it to anyone, it is so easy and no need for counting or any 'special' foods.
I think that's all for now
Thank you for all your kind comments regards my last blog xxxxx
Yey thats really good welldone for losing weight, my friend is on the slimming world diet and is doing very well also! I have my 1st work related interview on 12th march, i am kinda looking forward to it as i might end up finding something im good at coz right now thats not alot! Im on ESA for the same reasons too. Let me know how your interview goes we can compare notes! x
Thank you Sylvi and Phoebe
It doesn't seem right somehow to be so pleased, but it's such a lot more stress and pain relieved.
Good Luck on the 12th Gwen, I hope they help you. It gives us something to look forward to, I'd like a whole new start but I'm worried age may be against me, still we shall see.
Well done for getting the WRAG of ESA are you income based or contributions based of ESA? Also ask for the ESA65 medical report to know what your prognosis is for a considered return to work 3, 6, or longer months. Write to the DWP and find out. Lots of luck with the WFI let us know how you get on.
