infliximab

hi all,

I’m just being curious, I know the outcome of this medication will completely depend on how my body reacts to it and whether it is the magical ingredient for me.

But just wondered if anyone here has been on this and their experience? I’m going to start treatment tomorrow, infusion at the hospital.

thanks all!

I have been on infliximab infusions for over 2 years after the failure of several biologics. It works for me without any real problematic side effects. I started on every 8 weeks but now on 6 weekly. Hope it works as well for you.

Thank you. I’m guessing all these meds come with some level of side effects, it just depends on the severity and how much can be tolerated. I’m glad this works for you!

I started on Remsima - a biosimilar of Infleximab - in 2020. Not a success, I’m afraid, and I had to stop it in 2022. Apart from the widespread eczema, I also developed Heart Failure.

In fact it was failure to have the important investigations before starting the drug that would have discovered the possibility of heart disease that caused the more serious problem.

I do hope you have been investigated for both heart and lung problems before your infusions get going.

arh that’s a little concerning. I have heart issues that aren’t being really addressed. They have put me on statins. And I started the infusion yesterday. Here’s hoping huh.

Thanks for taking the time to reply
