Well yesterday didn't go well as i got up at around 3am and i started to be sick and then the diarrhea and it was really bad. So bad i couldn't get to the loo on time. I was really ill. I rang 111 and they got me a drs apt. at 10.45am. She gave me some tablets to help me and i came home and went back to bed. I stayed in bed all day. The poisoning has left me very weak and exhausted.
My ra is playing up as well just as well i an down to see the rheumy on Thursday. It will be needed as my joints are very sore at the moment.

That sounds nasty and I hope you’re feeling a bit better now. My husband had. Mussel food poisoning a couple of years ago and was really ill. I was so glad I said no, as he’d said in the restaurant these mussels are great try one! Drink plenty and keep warm. We have thick fog here and my son is off skiing so it’ll be a lazy weekend with a trip to the Cathedral to see the Mars exhibition. Xxx
What a nightmare Sylvi. Stay in bed and rest. My husband had something similar a couple of weeks ago- not sure if it was norovirus or something he ate or contacted when he was at an event - but boy was he ill.
Someone asked me how I managed not to get it and I said I washed everything, absolutely everything I thought he could possibly have touched and spent the entire weekend washing and disinfecting everything else.
Hope you feel better soon - nothing worse than needing the quick dash to the loo and not quite making it (not helped when your RA is playing up) - good luck with your rheumy appointment xx
Sorry to hear you’ve experienced this Sylvi, those symptoms sound horrid!! I had food poisoning around 21 years ago from onion rings from Burger King. It was dreadful and I had my newborn son to cope with too!
Bless you Sylvi food poisoning is horrendous! I got it from chicken once abroad. I hope you feel better very soon. Rest rest and more rest and plenty of fluids. Xxx
Sorry to hear and I especially feel for you as I've had a number of instances of food poisoning since I've been on sulfasalazine (only 2 in the 60 years before!) which my GP put down to immunosuppression caused by the sulfa. But I've had none since Covid when I started doing all my food preparation and cooking. I hope you're on the mend. Best wishes.
