Had a successful trip overseas at Christmas, no pain on the plane so I was pleased
Starting methotrexate soon once test results are received.its been abit of a journey to get there. Hospital changing and rearranging appointments has sent my head in a spin ..but at last I saw them last week
Had a steroid injection about a week ago and the swelling has gone down at last. Anyone any experience of the injection …I don’t know a lot about it, other than if getting it again there needs to be a three month gap.
take care all. Hope my post finds you as well as can be expected.

So pleased you managed a good Christmas. I’ve had many steroid injections - in my ankles, knees, hands and shoulders. (I have RA for more than 20 years) and I think they are pretty good at relieving the pain and swelling. You can have them every 3-4 months depending on your hospital’s guidelines.
It sounds as if you had a Depomedrone injection……unfortunately those steroid injections are very hit & miss…you can have one that works really well ,& lasts quite a while, but unfortunately the same injection the next time time is no help at all
i have had a few, the more you have the less they work, they say can last a year, that is rubbidh, for me its about 4/6 weeks last one i felt didnt even kick in but when it doe s you feel NORMAL human being again
