I’d be interested in the answer to this. I ended up buying a travel bag with ice packs to travel Christmas Eve with as this was my usual day
Check your patient leaflet as many biologics can be safely left out of the fridge for 1-2 weeks negating the need for cool bags when travelling on holiday.
For example on P14 of the Amgevita leaflet it says you can safely store a pre-filled syringe at temperatures up to 25 for 14 days. medicines.org.uk/emc/files/...
Over the last 2 years I have done exactly this 4 times to accommodate travel. No ill effects at all (Normally inject every 2 weeks). I also considered moving by 1 day a month over a few months to get to a different "regular" day but didn't need to in the end.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
I was on adalimumab last year and personally wouldn't have worried about taking it a day early or late occasionally, but it's probably worth checking it out with your rheumatology team just to make sure it'd be ok for you - just in case there are any factors that need to be considered in your specific situation. Do you have access to a rheumatology adviceline or another way of getting in touch with the nursing team to ask?
