I take methotrexate injections 15mg every Wednesday for RA and had my last one a day late on Thursday and I just took another one thinking it was Wednesday (it’s been a long week!) and now panicking as only 5 days in between instead of 7.
Anyone else done this?
Thanks in advance

Maybe have a calendar on your kitchen wall in future or a diary so that you can tick off each occasion that you’ve entered as a reminder as soon as you have administered your injection

Easy mistake which I’ve done too. I now set up a calendar on my iPhone to repeat every two weeks and alert me so I know which day to take my injection. I’ve set it up as a recurring reminder with no end date. 🫣 menopause brain doesn’t help 🤣
No idea about what happens if you take early, but to avoid mixing up days, so easy over Christmas or if you are on holiday etc. I set a weekly alarm on my phone set for about an hour before I do my injection. This helps as occasionally I have to delay taking, for example if I'm feeling off colour or it coincides with a vaccination or something. Other times I think why hasn't the alarm gone it's injection time, I check my phone and realise I have delayed the previous week. Might be helpful
As others have said I've moved mine by a day to allow for events. Also I put my meds reminders on my phone calendar or paper one. Make sure you leave usual gap for next one. Are you on folic acid, if so skip it the day you take MTX.
According to your mtx booklet if you forget to take it you can take it up to two days late and still carry on with your normal day the following week. That means only a five day gap on taking your next mtx dose.
