Can I take Methotrexate a Day early?

hi I’d like to take my weekly methotrexate a day early . Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this please ? Thank you 🙏

When I needed to take my MTX at the clinic (switching from oral to injection so had to do the first injection supervised). As the clinic was not on my normal day, the nurse said that I could take my dose as close as 5 days before the clinic dose or if I wanted to get back to my schedule, 5 days after the clinic dose. In my case I waited extra days before the clinic and then took my next dose 5 days after the clinic dose and was fine.

Hi Cofton

Yes, you can take MTX a day earlier or a day later. You can move your regular day forward and back like this if you need to adjust which is the best day for you.

I did this quite a few times to fit in with events and life. It was always ok and I did not notice any increases in my disease activity

Thank you good to know . I did have it a day earlier yesterday thanks to good advice on here .
