I have been changed from Imraldi to youflyma and for the first time in a long while I am experiencing pain and stiffness in my hands and arms. As I also am suffering with DDD , spondylitis ,extensive facet joint hypertrophic osteoarthritis it’s difficult to know if the pain and stiffness is due to the change of medication. Has anyone who changed to a different bio similar had problems?

Yes is the short answer. In Jan 24 I was changed from Imraldi to Hyrimoz presumably for cost cutting reasons. I didn't think too much about it as I had been stable & had been healthy for the 4 years since starting Imraldi.

Feb I started a whole series of infections (eye, sinus, UTIs, fungal scalp, burning itching feet which was diagnosed by GP as varicose eczema but not sure) which were apparently unlinked. My joints didn't feel as good and I had one sharp knee flare (which I hadn't had since starting Imraldi) By October I had had 4 colds with bad sinuses and I felt quite unwell.

I had a f2f with rheumatologist & I suggested going back on Imraldi. By recommending that I did he confirmed my suspicions that the change had, in fact, triggered my general ill health.

I started back on Imraldi in late November & fingers crossed (if I could!) I think things may be looking up.

Don't let anyone tell you the drugs are the same - they can't be. As someone on here said - the clue is in the name and they are bio similar not biosame.

I hope you get it resolved as simply as I did. Best wishes for the new year
