After my beautiful Darcy died I thought it would be along time before I had another dog but I was so lonely without her I felt I should try and find another.
Nuala captured my heart. Never been out in the big wide world so it’s been interesting this last 2 weeks. Best Christmas present.
Happy Christmas All xx

Beautiful. i am so happy for you and Nuala, theres a lot of love to be shared between you both. A little rescue dog? So nice to hear your happiness. Darcy will always be part of you, but Nuala can help heal you a little too.
Welcome Nula to this forum and most importantly to your new family who I know will love and cherish you so much just as they did with Darcy, who will be in their hearts each day. J sometimes things are meant to be and Nula has come into your life for a reason, hope you have many happy years making memories together. Wishing you the best for Christmas xx
Oh she looks lovely, just who you were needing to bring joy to your life. You will never forget Darcy (we still talk fondly of all the cats we have had in the past) but Nuala will have her own little quirks which will help take the pain away from no longer having her.
Oh how lovely 😍 We lost our gorgeous boxer about a month ago (only 6 so far too young 😥) and are starting to look for our next steadfast companion; we'll never forget him (or the three we had previously) but our home is just not the same without one. Lots of cuddles for both of us, I'm sure 😉
That really is a shame Boxerlady and I agree, six is far too young. I thought one of our springers went far too early at just 8. They really leave a mark don't they!
I miss my dog too. There are four others in the house and two of them are only a year so still a bit of a handful but I miss my own dog. Still no more dogs until I'm better and have time.
That's brill I had a boxer for 18 years and when he went to the big kennels the sky I missed him took me 5 years to replace him but got a 2 half year old boxer called free he's getting trained as a assistant dog merry Christmas
ANIMALS ARE A TRUE BLESSING AND GIFT. THEY BRING SUCH HAPPINESS AND LOVE .I CAN'T ENVISION MY LIFE W/O OUR DOG AND CAT (BOTH OF WHICH ARE RESCUES). CONGRATULATIONS AND MUCH LOVING JOY WITH YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND FOR THE COMING YEARS.
I lost my fluffy boy last December, I still haven’t got another, although I do check my local rescues frequently. The home isn’t the same without a dog.
They all capture our hearts and it makes it so hard when you have to say goodbye!!
We lost our beautiful cat Dillon in June he left us suddenly and we are still grieving for him especially now at Christmas time but we will get another rescue cat soon.
