hello canceld COVID appointments twice now. Not told. Phoned 119 for another appointment for me and my husband but was told I had to wait 24 hours before I could make another appointment.
Obviously my husband and myself are seniors and we both have health issues of course.
is anybody experience the same problem?. We live in a rural area, but because of my mobility issues, we could have a problem .

Hi rebooked then cancelled again. Rebooked again And then by chance h Hubby popped in to the pharmacy to check new date was then told it may not go ahead
Found a pharmacy roughly 8miles away.walked in no appointment done. Thankfully my hubby still drives and we new the area.
I tried a random walk-in at the local pharmacy that does them and got luck so it might be worth trying that if you’ve got to go into town any time soon!
I too live rurally and my Gp doesn’t do covid vaccines. Yes I had appointments cancelled. I cancelled the first I made as I was ill. I rebooked online using the nhs app for the last day available at the local centre. Shortly before the appointment date I got a phone call to say that day was cancelled as there were not enough folk booked on it and advised to rebook another appointment somewhere else but to wait for 24 hours. They offered to vaccinate me that day if I could get down to the centre as it was now the last day but I refused as I was on antibiotics for a chest infection and felt quite poorly. I went back on line a few days later and booked an appointment at a chemist in a village some 10 miles away. 24 hours have to be left between a cancellation and a new booking to allow time for the computer app to update as it can’t let anyone have two appointments.
It seems quite common for the last day to be cancelled at some vaccination centres if not enough folk book an appointment. Lesson learnt , don’t book the last day.
Ring again in a day or two for another appointment, don’t stress to much about it.
If you can manage to use the nhs on line booking system when you put your post code in it gives a list of places nearest to you which you can go to and by clicking on one you can see all their available appointments.
