Covid vaccine still waiting

I’ve just realised that I should be in group 6 for the vaccine. Now on hcq and recently mtx. The appointment for my first vaccine is 31st March. I have younger friends without medical conditions having theirs next week. Have tried to leave messages with my gp to get a vaccine sooner but no progress, can’t get past admin. Phoned 119 and they can’t change it without cancelling the one I already have, risking an extra delay. I feel a bit foolish for not chasing this sooner, let dow. and suddenly very vulnerable, especially work wise..I’m going to try & get a call with my gp tomorrow ss 😔

It is only two weeks....and you’ve managed a year without it. If just on HCQ and under 75 your risk is pretty low and , plus with so many people around you vaccinated the risk gets lower every day.

If you can change it that’ good bit if you can’t then try not to stress.

Hi Sunnyseas, I agree with helixhelix its only 2 weeks now, see what they say at GP though to put your mind at rest. 🍀🌞keep us posted😉

If your GP thought you needed a vaccination earlier he would have alerted you...I’d keep the date you’ve got rather than falling between two stools.A couple of weeks on just hcq & Mtx does not make you too vulnerable..that comes with steroids & some Biologics .

So don’t worry needlessly.

Like others have said it’s two weeks time. But you looking at it all wrong should not be what group you think your in. It should be I’m pleased I’m getting it. But I’ve had mine and I no someone who is in late 60s who hasn’t or even being invited. But she is not worried about being in a group. Like she said when it’s her turn she will be contacted.
